Midterm exams are coming up at Powhatan High School during the week of December 15th through the 19th. Here is the schedule to help you stay on top of things.

Monday through Thursday will be the exams and Friday will be a make-up day for those who missed something during the week. Z
There are NO EXEMPTIONS for any midterms this year.
Monday- morning will be 3rd block exams and afternoon will be 7th block exams
Tuesday- morning will be 2nd block exam and afternoon will be 6th block exams
Wednesday- morning will be 1st block exams and afternoon will be 5th block exams
Thursday- morning will be 4th block exam and afternoon will be 6th and 4th make up blocks
Friday- morning will be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd makeup block and afternoon will be 5th and 7th make up blocks
Some tips to help you succeed on your exams:
- Create a study schedule and prioritize subjects you need extra practice on
- When studying start with the hardest topics while your brain is fresh and do the easier or simpler topics after when your brain is already a bit tired
- Take breaks when studying- studying too long will just burn you out and at some point you will stop retaining information
- If there is a subject you are truly struggling on don’t be afraid to ask either friends, peers, teacher or parents for help
- Make sure you get enough sleep and don’t cram the night before because then you will be tired and more likely to forget or fall asleep during the exam
- Eat breakfast or a snack before the exam and stay hydrated- without fuel your brain will be unable to work properly, too its full potential and you are more likely to get distracted during the exam
