Most kids try to acquire a job by the time they are sixteen. This is very important to their development, because it sets the stage for improved time management, work ethic, and teamwork. All these qualities are vital to succeeding in adulthood. Having a job in your teenage years also promotes financial stability and independence in the future as well as effects behavior and performance.
Teenagers are taught how to manage, spend, invest, and respect their money. All of which is important to succeeding as an adult. This is because they will spend less time trying to learn how to be financially responsible and not have a period of time where they are struggling financially due to black of experience and knowledge.
Other benefits include building a sense of community, building their resume, and positive behavioral outputs. Having a job young and working with others not only builds teamwork but also influences a person’s character traits. For example if they are working with someone older who is very focused they will learn to be more focused. By having these positive influences it can change the behavior that they produce.
