Grammy Awards 2024

Grammy Awards 2024

The Grammy Awards of 2024 will be one of the most memorable of the Annual Grammy Awards. The host of the 66th annual Grammy Awards was Trevor Noah, this being his fourth year hosting. The opener of the show was Dua Lipa opening with her newest song Houdini. 

Jay-Z took the stage to accept the Dr.Dre Impact Award, bringing his daughter along with him to accept it. SZA received the award for best R&B for her song, ‘Snooze’, along with winning three other grammys that night. Miley Cyrus got her very first Grammy for her song ‘Flowers’. Miley went home with two Grammys, the other being Record of the Year. 

Celine Dion shocked everyone with her surprise appearance at the end of the ceremony. Celine presented the final award for Album of the Year, going to Taylor Swift for her album, ‘Midnights’. 

 

Taylor also broke a record for winning the Album of the Year award four times. While Taylor was accepting her award, she announced her brand new album that will be released April 19, 2024 called ‘The Tortured Poets Department’.

Tracy Chapman returned to the stage to perform her song ‘Fast Car’ with Luke Combs. Lainey Wilson won for Best Country Album with her album ‘Bellbottom Country’. Chris Stapleton was absent the night of, but he managed to win two Grammys; Best Country Song and Best Country Solo performance. Best Country Duo Group Country Grammy went to Zach Bryan and Casey Musgraves.

Olivia Rodrigo performed her song, ‘Vampire’ that night. Victoria Monae took home the award for Best New Artist. Billie EIlish took home two Grammys. The night ended with many awards given, and while some did not receive one, so much talent was there that night.
