Another recent addition to the Powhatan County Courthouse Area is Rise and Grind Cafe. Rise and Grind is a locally owned coffee shop/bakery that officially opened on December 8th, 2021. 

Their menu consists of espresso, coffee brews, fresh-made baked goods, and Gelati Celesti ice cream. 

Walking into the coffee shop you are immediately welcomed by the smell of freshly brewed coffee. The decor and set up makes the cafe feel warm and inviting. Incredible staff members will take your order and have it given to you almost immediately. 

For my visit to Rise and Grind, I had an Everything Bagel with cream cheese and an Iced Caramel Macchiato. It was delicious. It was a great way to start my morning. I would recommend it for anyone who’s looking for somewhere to enjoy a nice breakfast or brunch.
