Popping tabs to make a difference

In honor of Mackenzie and Ben Morelli, who died tragically last year in a car accident, the 9th Grade Class Council is asking you to collect soda can tabs and place them in the boxes in The Commons and the main office.

The Ronald McDonald House is a nonprofit organization that provides a place to stay and basic necessities for families as they care for children who are hospitalized.  It takes approximately 1,128 pop tabs to equal one pound which is worth between $0.40 to $0.50 per pound. And it isn’t just soda pop tabs. The tabs can come from energy drinks, soup cans, or anything with a metallic tab.

Mrs. Roxanne Wentworth, KK and Ben’s grandmother, appreciates your support of her special service project.
