Powhatan County is always welcoming new restaurants and new businesses. Rise and Grind Cafe and 1933 Public House are two of the most recent additions to the Courthouse area in Powhatan.

Rise and Grind Cafe is a recently opened locally-owned coffee shop/cafe. Open Monday through Friday from 7-3 and 9-3 on Saturdays, their menu offers breakfast, lunch, baked goods, and Gelati Celesti ice cream.

1933 Public House is another recent addition to the Courthouse area. The Public House is open Wednesday to Sunday from 4-9. They serve craft cocktails and New American cuisine.
