Q: Do you like being a student athlete?
A: I like being an student athlete. I believe it is very important to take some sport to the routine, whether it is only for hobby or not. For me physical activity is one of the main engines to develop.
Q: Does being a student athlete affect your mental health negatively or positively?
A: Yes, it affects me positively. [It] makes my days more productive, releases dopamine, and gives satisfying results, making you feel good about yourself.
Q: Has it helped with your time management at all?
A: Yes, it has helped with my time management. It helps me have a routine.
Q: Do you see yourself more motivated or less motivated in the off season?
A: This is my first year playing this sport, but I’m in the gym all the time.
Q: How do you re-motive yourself in the off season.
A: I stay in the gym to satisfy my physical activity for the day.

A: Yes because I’m more involved in school and [it gives me] something to do after school.

A: Positively, because I have more friends, and us hanging out makes me happy.
Q: Has it helped with your time management at all?
A: No, it makes it worse because I only have time for football and nothing else.
Q: Do you see yourself more motivated or less motivated in the off season?
A: More motivated because I want to get better in the next football season.
Q: How do you re-motive yourself in the off season.
A: I stay motivated in the off season because I want to be my best self for next season.

A: Yes, It gives me things to do while also gaining friendships.

A: Both because it’s very time consuming, but it also makes me happy and keeps me constantly motivated.
Q: Has it helped with your time management at all?
A: No, because I have practice or things to do almost every day, so my study/homework time is very limited.
Q: Do you see yourself more motivated or less motivated in the off season?
A: Less motivated because when I don’t have practice, I’m constantly bored and sleep all day.
Q: How do you re-motive yourself in the off season.
A: I usually just think about my past season and try to improve and get [in] a better mindset.

A: Yes, I like being a student athlete because I make more friends and am more involved in school.
Q: Does being a student athlete affect your mental health negatively or positively?
A: Both because it’s stressful and can bring me down, but it is a good way to cope with things.
It’s very time consuming, but it also makes me happy and keeps me constantly motivated.
Q: Has it helped with your time management at all?
A: Yes, it has because having a busy schedule helps me adjust plan my day better.
Q: Do you see yourself more motivated or less motivated in the off season?
A: Less motivated because during football season, I’m practicing constantly, but during the off season I don’t practice as much.

A: I think about how hard I’ve worked and my goals for my life including my future.
