With summer around the corner, one of the more fun activities is going to see live music, especially when it is for free. There are many free venues that you can go to in the Richmond area but, we are going to go over three for today.
The Tin Pan is a restaurant and listening room in the West End featuring live music, with some nights offering free admission. Although it is not always free, they do still offer a lot of good local bands that are cheap.
Richmond Folk Festival is held every October on the riverfront. This festival features music from all over the world and is completely free. This festival is held over three days and hosts many singers and bands, and overall sounds like a very fun experience.
Honey Whyte’s bar and grill hosts live performances that you can go in and see for free every week. Some days they even host live karaoke which overall is a fun experience in the Richmond area. They also have some of the best food I personally have had in Richmond, so it is all around an A+ from me.
