This year’s Powderpuff will be hosted on March 7th, starting with the Freshman vs Sophomores at 5, followed by the Juniors vs Seniors. Powderpuff is where the girls play flag football and the boys cheerlead. The class of 2025 were the winners last year and hope to go on to defend their title as winners. This year is the first year PHS is offering the Freshman and Sophomores a chance to participate.
Players will also make an appearance at the Pep Rally, Freshman and Juniors in orange, and Sophomores and Seniors in black. During this pep all participants will run out and the girls football players will play in a game of tug of war.
Girls have 3 practices, going through plays and learning their position. The girls coaches are the boys football team and the dance team and cheerleaders coach the boy cheerleaders. The boys learn an intricate and entertaining dance routine they will perform at halftime during the game.
Tickets will be on sale for 5$ at the door. All proceeds from tickets as well as concessions, go towards SGA to help student event funds. The theatre program will also be hosting a 50/50 raffle to help their funds. We hope to see you there!
