Returning from a year of absence the blackout volleyball tournament is firing up during the cold season to continue the fight against cancer. The tournament is between several teams made up of students from across every grade being held by Powhatan’s leftovers club.
The progenitor year was 2022 in which they raised $1647 and would then raise over $1200 in 2023. While there isn’t a specific goal for 2025 every little bit counts and is appreciated as it is sent to Relay for life of the American cancer society. The volleyball game will be held on the 24th of January with tickets going for just 5$, which can be purchased at the door.
The tournament will be going from 6pm to 8pm and will be held in the gym.
