Members of the Kind Club and Interact Club organized a food drive this Thanksgiving to collect items for the Powhatan Food Pantry. Their goal was to collect 20 complete meal bags, but they doubled that number.
The Powhatan Rotary members came and spoke to the club members on the importance of community and helping those in need. Powhatan Rotary also helped collect items through their organization.
Davis’, STG. MGR. Blakely’s, and Hudson’s first block class are the classes that collected the most items. Mr. Davis’ first block class will be rewarded with a breakfast party for their great work and collecting the most items. Isabel Marshall, Shelby Reed, and Matthew Taylor are the students selected to pie a principle in the face at the winter pep rally for their hard work collecting items.
