Thanksgiving is over meaning Christmas is right around the corner. Christmas is a time to spread joy and love especially to the ones who need it most.
Here at PHS the SGA has a yearly tradition of buying and wrapping gifts for the Christmas mother foundation. The Christmas mother organization was one founded to help bring Christmas to the families who need it in the community. They provide toys, clothes, food, and any other needs for those families.
The SGA each year hosts a shopping as well as wrapping day to support the Christmas Mother. This year they shopped for a mom, grandma, as well as a twin boy and girl. The shopping day took place November 20th after school at the local Walmart. During this students split into groups to shop for a specific person and are given a list of what to get. On the following day November 22 these gifts are wrapped by more members of SGA.
Every year SGA makes it a goal to spread some love around Christmas time. The Christmas Mother Is one of many things SGA does during these times to share the Christmas spirit to all.
