What is dyslexia? You have more than likely have heard of the word dyslexia before, but what would it really mean to have dyslexia and how does it affect day to day life?
Well, dyslexia is a neurodevelopmental issue, often recognized in children as they try to read. It’s even possible to be dyslexic in one language and not another, but why is that? Well, dyslexia usually means that the letters blend together and therefore can look like similar letters or letters can sort of “jump around.”
According to research, there are dyslexic friendly fonts that could help people with dyslexia read better. Incursive fonts such as Pacifico, Dancing Script, La Belle Aurora, Sacramento, tend to be harder to read, while Cinzel, Source code pro, and Lexend may be a little easier with people who suffer with dyslexia.
Although dyslexia can’t be treated, there are a lot of tools to help people with dyslexia read and write fluently. Check out this website and see what it is like to have dyslexia for yourself!
