Powhatan High School held its first ever Open Mic night on Wednesday, November 29. There were 10 performances in all. It was a very calming setting in the library, with coffee, snacks, and baked goods being sold in the back. There were multiple talented people performing string instruments, vocalist, and jazz solos. All the proceeds went towards the performing arts classes. The whole night lasted about an hour where both parents and peers showed up to cheer on their family and friends.
