The Powhatan High School chapter of the National English Honor Society recently spent three days during Indian Time along with after school painting inspirational quotes along the row of windows overlooking the library. This is a yearly tradition for the PHS NEHS, membership kept the tradition alive with their creativity and innovation. The Powhatan High School Art Honors Society assisted the NEHS members by embellishing the borders of the quotes with artwork. “Think and wonder, wonder and think,” a quote by Dr. Suess, one of the many simple yet brilliant quotes the chapter members choose in hopes of transferral inspiration. These quotes will remain on the windows until the spring so all PHS students and staff can enjoy them. Next time you pass the windows above the library, ponder the quotes and artwork, and become inspired!
