PCPS offers Summer Camps!

Summer time has officially come! And you know what that means! Summer camp time begins! PCPS offers a variety of camps for grades K-12. See information below for details.
All camps will be held at either Powhatan High School or Flat Rock Elementary School. Camp hours are from 8:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. There will be a 15 minutes snack break during the day. Snacks will not be provided.
Here are a few camps options for each age group:
Light Painting and Ghost Making with Photography

Dates: July 18-21
Grades: Rising Grades 9-12
Did you know you can paint with light? Learn how to create stunning and magical art with colorful lights, ice, a digital camera and Pixlr. Capture a ghost or become one yourself with the magic of photography and open access software.
Cost: $100.00
More Than Mac & Cheese

Location: Powhatan High School
Dates: July 11-14
Grades: Rising Grades 5-8
Description: Join us this summer to learn some basic cooking skills, and fun recipes you can make for you and your family. More than Mac & Cheese will teach you some traditional family classics, and great snacks and treats you can do on your own.

Rockets and Robots

Location: Powhatan High School
Dates: July 11-14
Grades: Rising Grades 4-8
Description: If you would like to design and build a custom solid fuel rocket and mechanical robot self driving robot, this is the camp for you. No experience necessary.

Boys and Girls Basketball Camp

Location: Powhatan High School
Dates: June 6-9 and/or June 20-23
Grade(s): Rising Grades 1- 8
Description: Campers will learn the fundamentals of basketball from Powhatan High School coaches and players. Emphasis will be on ball handling, footwork, passing, shooting/scoring, and defense. Campers will be taught skills, participate in drills, and play organized games. Awards and contests will ensure that everyone has a great time. Our staff is excited to have this camp back this summer to provide guidance, instruction, and feedback to all future Indians.
Maximum number of participants: 60.

Girls Field Hockey Camp

Dates: June 13-16
Grade(s): Rising 3-10
Description: This camp is offered for beginner and intermediate players. Participants will learn the fundamentals of field hockey through station work, drills, stickwork and small sided games.

Powhatan Soccer Skills Camp

Description: Please come out to the 2022 Powhatan High School Soccer camp! Players will have fun learning the basic soccer skills and essentials of teamwork as they interact with JV and Varsity players and coaches.
