Class of 2023 Powhatan High Wide Receiver Ethan Dowdy has officially announced his commitment to play football at the Myrtle Beach Collegiate Academy. Ethan reclassed at the beginning of 2022 in order to be eligible to play in Myrtle Beach. The Academy is a post graduate football program located in Myrtle Beach, SC. Dowdy finished his high school senior year with 1,215 AP yards, 17 touchdowns as well as 30 tackles and 2 interceptions. Ethan officially announced his commitment to Myrtle Beach on March 8. Dowdy received offers from 7 schools including; Hampden Sydney, Misericordia, Alverina, Chowan, Charleston, Emory & Henry, Palmetto Prep-PG, and Myrtle Beach Collegiate-PG. Through his high school career Dowdy was named an All Region WR, All Metro WR, and received a Big Rivalry Game Invite. We wish our guy, #12 Ethan Dowdy, an amazing football career at Myrtle Beach-PG!
